Daniel
Even with the help of divine messengers who come from the throne of God, we can struggle to understand the breadth of God’s hand at work. Similarly, Daniel struggles to understand the vision once it is complete. The angel Gabriel makes a rare appearance and tries to help Daniel

One of humanity’s fundamental flaws is rebellion. We weren’t created with rebellion. We weren’t given a spirit of disobedience. We weren’t designed to rebel. None of that changes the fact that we do rebel. We rebel quite frequently. We do it because we enjoy doing things
Daniel
God deserves to be our focus, not the ebb and flow of human power. Because human civilization is quite literally in our face, it is easy to become impressed and even enamored with it. It is easy to overlook God and His omnipresence. In the end, though, human civilization constantly
Daniel
God will have the last word. Besides being reminded about God’s love, I think those words are the most comforting words I ever hear. Living in this world can be difficult from time to time; it is helpful to know God will have the last say. On days when

We can trust God to have our day-to-day activities in His hands as much as we can trust Him to have our eternal existence in His hands. He is the God who created the world, and He certainly is the God who can sustain us forever. Yet as
It is amazing how easily people who entrust their life to God can let go of all control over their life. I don’t say this lightly. I like control. I like to plan. I like to work hard and see the fruit of my efforts. I don’t think
Daniel
Daniel’s fate rests in the hands of God. That’s a wonderful, albeit difficult, place to reside. God is our creator; He can do anything. Who better to control our fate? At the same time, though, we often like to control our own destiny. We like to ensure the
